The Arizona Cardinals have lost pass rusher Markus Golden for the season with a torn ACL.
“It breaks everyone’s heart in there (in the locker room), because they all know how hard he plays,” coach Bruce Arians said Monday. “It takes a lot of spirit out of the defense, because he brings it every play.”
Golden, a second-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, was injured during Sunday’s 18-15 win over the 49ers.
Floyd was suspended the first four games of the season after he violated the league’s substance abuse policy. Monday is the first day he’s allowed to return to team activities.
So what does this mean for the Vikings? The team already suffered a huge blow with quarterback Sam Bradford being out due to a bone bruise. Backup QB Case Keenum needs all the help he can get, which means Floyd’s return will be a welcome addition alongside Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen.
In six seasons in the NFL, Floyd has 3,781 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.
The Vikings will face the Bears next Monday, and it would be surprising if Floyd wasn’t incorporated in the lineup.
Instead, Trevathan, a veteran who won a Super Bowl with the Broncos, inexcusably lost his head. The immediate swarming of teammates and medics to Adams’ side was NFL Jerseys From China as Wholesale Jerseys All difficult to see as the blow itself.
While Adams needed to be carried off the field and concern turned less to football and more to his general well-being, Trevathan’s unnecessary roughness penalty set up the inevitable for Aaron Rodgers — the third of his four scoring passes and a three-TD lead.
It was good to see Rodgers and Packers pour it on the Bears with another touchdown pass shortly after. It was also good to hear that Adams, per CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson, had movement in his extremities as he was having his head and neck examined at a local hospital.
